Josephine Lougee - M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist

Josie graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2019 with a Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. She has been working with both pediatric and adult populations for 7 years with a passion to restore communication in order to maximize quality of life and independence. Although she misses the cold and snow sometimes, Josie feels right at home down south and is able to enjoy all things outdoor!

Dr. Jessie Lanford - PT, DPT
Physical Therapist

Jessie graduated from Methodist University in 2020 with a Doctorate In Physical Therapy. She has been working in pediatrics for 5 years and enjoys creating fun treatment plans for her patients to stay engaged and progress towards goals. Jessie is from Georgia and enjoys being close to her family and visits them often. She loves spending time at home with her family of 3 and 2 dogs!

Shelby Cannon - OTR
Occupational Therapist

Shelby graduated from Augusta University in 2023 with a Masters of Health Science in Occupational Therapy degree. She has spent the majority of her professional career in pediatrics enjoying helping parents and children navigate sensory processing. Shelby loves helping people get back to doing what is meaningful and important to them to become the best version of themselves. She spends her free time reading, baking, thrifting and spending time her her husband and 2 cats. ​​​​​​

Nicole Swanson - OTR
Occupational Therapist

Nicole graduated from the University of Southern California with a Master of Arts degree in Occupational Therapy in 1996. She has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings throughout her career, and has enjoyed incorporating animal assisted therapy into her practice as the proud handler of Canine Companions Facility Dog Westley since 2022. Nicole is also an actor, and can often be found recording audiobooks in her professional home studio or performing on a stage somewhere.

Facility Dog - OT assistant

Westley is a trained facility dog that is used to work alongside his OT partner to help motivate kids for therapy. He knows over 40 commands to address a variety of skills with patients of all ages and abilities! Westley loves obstacle courses, playing outside and baking dog treats with his therapy friends! He enjoys spending his free time at home chasing around his 3 other fur-siblings!

Cassidy Jamison - SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Cassidy graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2019 with a Master of Speech-Language Pathology. As a military wife, she has traveled across the United States working in inpatient rehab, acute care and outpatient settings, serving pediatric and adult patients. She is a certified Infant Feeding Specialist, Lactation Counselor and Former NICU SLP. Cassidy loves to incorporate play, singing and learning new skills to encourage development of early language. She spends her free time being active with her family of 3 doing something outdoors!​​

Jessica Vick - SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Jessica earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Kentucky University in 2022 and has spent the past 3.5 years working in an outpatient pediatric setting. Before becoming a speech-language pathologist, she served as a Special Education teacher in the Columbia County School District. Jessica has a special passion for supporting the autistic community, valuing the unique strengths, perspectives, and needs of each child and family she serves. Her favorite part of being a speech therapist is helping children find and use their voice. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 2-year-old daughter.

Cody Lanford - BD
Billing Director

Cody graduated from Augusta University in 2018 and has a background with insurance and billing. He specializes in submitting and tracking claims for Better Days Therapies patients. He has been an employee with Better Days Therapies for 1 year and enjoys helping our families get reimbursed. Cody enjoys playing golf and spending time at home with his family of 3 and 2 dogs!

Courtney Abbott - PCC
Patient Care Coordinator

Courtney graduated from the University of Florida with her bachelors in 2018. She received her PTA degree in 2023 and has a background in healthcare. She has a passion for helping others and enjoys connecting with families to get them the services they need. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys baking, spending time with her husband, and snuggling with her cat!
